I haven't mentioned that we used AirBNB for most of our accommodations. Highly recommended! In Zadar, Dubrovnik, and Zagreb we were able to meet such wonderful Croatian people and stayed at the best locations, all for cheaper than a hostel. The first picture below is our view from our apartment in Zadar.
