Florence was beautiful. We stayed with a member of our church and she was the sweetest most hardworking woman. From her place, we were able to work to the Gallerie dell'Accademica where we saw The David. So much more than I had imagined it would be.
Then we headed on over to the Piazza del Duomo. Such a historic and lively square with street performers and so much history. We got to go to the top of the dome!
We spent about a half day in Venice. A beautiful and unique city, but not our favorite. We spent about half a day there and then we were on our way to Croatia. There were a bunch of mask and interesting art stores.
